The moment someone recognizes your content as promotional, their selective attention kicks in… Result? Instant scroll. —

Hiya!!!

Bold risks are essential today.

For this month’s recap I wanted to explore what that means and how we can apply it as content creators, sellers, and leaders.

Devlin's research shows pattern interrupts trigger a "wait, what?" response, offering a brief window of attention. Keep reading for more on effective pattern interrupts that stand out and maintain trust.

Let's dig in,

Leslie.

LET ME CLARIFY

1,000 TOUCHES, FOR REAL

My OnlyFans creator post mentioned building trust through 1,000 touches (or 7 hours of content engagement). Some of you rightly questioned whether this is just spamming our audience.

The key distinction is that social algorithms guide the distribution of your content. By creating content for who you want to reach, social platforms naturally segment your audience.

Not all of your content needs to be hyper-focused on your buyer. As a content creator it’s important to speak directly to end-users, champions, and anyone else that can influence a deal.

Let's look at the data:

  • 77% of closed B2B deals in 2024 were multi-threaded (engaging multiple stakeholders), according to Gong's analysis of 1.8M opportunities. (Gong 2024)

  • Win rates increase by 37% when two or more contacts are engaged at the target account. (Outreach Benchmarks 2025)

  • For enterprise deals specifically, engaging four or more contacts correlates with a 130% higher win rate. (Gong Enterprise Cut)

The takeaway is clear: distribute your touchpoints across multiple stakeholders.

We wouldn’t email the same stakeholder, the same message 1,000 times. The same applies with your content: align each thing you create with the intended viewer. If you want to speak to sales people more broadly, consider a TikTok with a spicy hook. Then you have a content engine that automatically attracts the right people.

COMMUNITY WINS

REVENUE REVELRY & APRIL HIGHLIGHTS

We're thrilled to celebrate some remarkable wins from our community this month:

  • Ana leveraged our multi-thread strategy to close a $220k ACV deal with a major healthcare provider. Her approach involved mapping six stakeholders and customizing based on their specific concerns.

  • Shoutout to Raj for his response to the OnlyFans post: "This is exactly the break LinkedIn needs. Attention-grabbing but with actual substance—unlike most of what I scroll past." Well said, Raj!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the workshops and networking sessions.

The In/Out List

I think we're all craving permission to do things differently.

Whether it's embracing "aggressive OOO messages" or rejecting "predatory subscription models," there's a collective desire to change how we work.

The way we've always done things isn't the way we have to keep doing them. Your team is looking for leadership that supports work-life boundaries and questions status quo practices.

AI SDR MYTHS STILL HOLDING SELLERS BACK

While we're exploring creative approaches, let's address some persistent myths about AI in sales development that continue to hold teams back:

MYTH #1: AI WILL REPLACE HUMAN SELLERS

REALITY CHECK: AI excels at certain tasks, but human sellers remain essential for building trust and navigating complex deals. The most successful teams use AI to augment human capabilities, not replace them.

MYTH #2: AI IS PLUG-AND-PLAY

REALITY CHECK: AI amplifies your existing strategy—good or bad. Without sound fundamentals, you're just scaling ineffective approaches faster.

MYTH #3: AI = SPAM ✉️

REALITY CHECK: Gong Labs' March 2025 analysis shows that AI-crafted emails can match human CTR when fed good data. The problem isn't AI itself—it's poor input producing poor output. (Gong Labs Mar 2025)

THE NUMBERS SPEAK: Teams using AI with human oversight saw a 50% increase in win rate. The key? Human-first, AI-enhanced approaches win. And I don’t know of a better way to incorporate this into your org than with Aomni!
